Hi, my name is Ana, and I am the “A” in A&J! I am our senior accountant here at A&J Accounting Services! I am from Cuernavaca, Mexico. Furthermore, I attended college in Los Angeles as a citizen and obtained my undergraduate degree in accounting. A few years later, I went back to school and obtained my Master of Accounting and Master of Business Administration at Grand Canyon University. Early in my career, I devoted time to corporate accounting, working at multiple Fortune 500 companies, such as Reynolds & Reynolds, ADP, and Chrysler. I have spent much of my time working for and with automotive dealerships in Latin America and consider it my personal specialty. But, in those years in the corporate world, I learned my driving force behind A&J: Small businesses are the backbone of America. As such, I felt the want to share my experience and my ideas with as many people as would listen. When I am not slaying dragons, I am working side by side with my spoiled coworker Thor at my desk. (He’s a dog.) I try to exercise when I can at our local CrossFit gym; I travel to meet with clients, the best part of my job; I take the daily stab at cooking; and I love spending time with my family.

Hello! My name is Joseph, and I am the “J” in A&J. I am your staff accountant here at A&J Accounting Services! I grew up in Casa Grande, going to elementary, middle, and high school, and went on to college at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. There I obtained my accounting degree and interned with Lockton Companies, LLC, at their Surplus Lines Tax Department. From there, I moved to Spring Venture Group as a commissions analyst, maintaining a stringent dedication to accounting practices in the insurance field. However, as all things change, Ana proposed the idea of working together to build our own accounting firm into something bigger. I joined up with her in September of 2023, and we have steadily grown since then.
Outside of my professional life, I regularly train and compete in CrossFit. It has been and always will be at an amateur level, but I have a passion for it and a love for the sport. I often use CrossFit as a personal challenge, telling myself, “If the hardest thing I do today is get to the gym and complete a workout, then the rest of the day comes easy. " Besides CrossFit, I also regularly run and walk our dog Thor, hike around some intermediate trails in Arizona, and love being a foodie both around Arizona and in other parts of the world.
